good not great

Overall I enjoyed the concert and the Sibelius 7th was the perfect opening to this somber program. My main problem with the Requiem was that it was very difficult to hear the soloists, a problem that could/should have been managed by the sound techs (I am assuming the soloists were mic'd but couldn't tell from the balcony). Because the soloists are so integral to the Requiem, the inadequate management of the sound was really problematic. In terms of the venue, it is lovely and comfortable. It would be very helpful to have more ushers helping attendees find their seats. (I am spoiled by the DPAC, where the staff is extraordinarily plentiful and helpful!).
